1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES f 5 Leo "Lightning" Jones, who rode with a good measure of success in Kentucky several years ago, has undertaken the task of developing a jockey. He has signed Sterling Anifantis, 15-year-old New Orleans Boy, to a three-year contract. Because of the large number of horses stabled at Douglas Park, William J. Shelley will accept entries at that point daily throughout the Churchill Downs meeting. The Douglas Park entries will be closed at 10 oclock, a half hour earlier than the deadline at the Downs. In addition to the three horses that H. "Doc" Becker brought to Douglas Park from Keeneland, he is making arrangements to add Upset Macaw and New Discovery to the string. They have been -in training at La-tonia for several weeks. Becker also assumed charge of Mrs. George Spaeths Airlap and Morfeu, brought up from Florida several weeks ago. Apprentice Hayden Dupuy arrived from Havre de Grace Friday morning and reported to his brother and contract employer, Maderis Dupuy, at Douglas Park. The youngster is regarded as one of the best of the" winter apprentice developments.
