1 SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES « $ Mrs. P. A. Shaws Holluschickie was found to have broken a sesamoid bone in a front leg after the last win at Suffolk Downs. The thoroughbred may be out for the balance of the season with an injury similar to that sustained by Rough Time, but which did not halt the latters career. Jockey Joe Rosen, contract rider for the Coldstream Stud, accepted his first mounts of the meeting on H. P. Headleys Atatime and Mrs. W. Rosens High End Thursday. Jockey Lee Hardy, who is under contract to W. H. Jackson, arrived Thursday. Apprentice R. Scott will pack his tack on Friday and leave for Delaware. The Snow White Stable checked in with five head. Topping the lot is Sassy Lady, winner of the Oyster Bay Handicap at Belmont, Tuesday, entered in the Commonwealth Handicap Saturday. Others in the string are Donna Leona, Phenomenal and Modest Queen. The apprentice allowances were waived Thursday on Believer in the first race and on Ida Tarp and Quiet Time in the third. Apprentice J. Bowen will resume riding on j Saturday after a ten-day suspension, j Daniel J. Sullivan is shipping half of his j stable to Delaware, to return to Suffolk J Downs on July 5. The remaining horses will be left at Suffolk Downs in charge of Tommy Kenwood. Trainer P. C. Stevenson has temporarily quartered at Rockingham, awaiting stall space at Suffolk Downs, the horses Little Baldy and Fair Scout, owned by T. Vines. Also at Rockingham awaiting stalls are John McDowells Our Surprise and W. H. Hoseas Blue Flame. Paul Codds registrations included Copper Tube, Devils Mate, Balios, Lucky Star, Strut, I Learned and Cleo C.
