NEW FRENCH LINER PARIS, France, May 25.— The Senate was informed Tuesday night by Louis de Chappe-delaine, minister of merchant marine, that construction work on a new French liner to replace the recently burned Paris would be started in 1940. The new ship will be named the Bretagne and will be a duplicate of the Normandie.
