SUDANESE, going in his best form, sprinted into a good lead during the opening quarter, increased his advantage under steadying restraint, responded to strong urging when tiring and outfinished GUNWALE. The latter, much the best, was well up from the start and, on the outside, moved up rapidly after reaching the stretch and, weakly handled, just failed to get up. FLY ME raced wide and finished well. LOTTAFUN worked her way forward steadily and closed with a rush. STRANGE TIMES was unable to keep up. TECHY quit. FOXSTER showed little. COLD DECK improved his position rapidly after a quarter, failed to menace the winner, but was much the best of the others. HIGHER UP, hustled along from the start, was unable to threaten the winner and, tiring in the last stages, finished in a dead heat with PANSYS FIRST. The latter, working her way forward steadily, finished strongly on the inside. OLD FONDO made up ground. POKEAWAY raced wide. DOC OSTER quit. SIR GEORGE had early Speed while racing on the inside. TERMOTIME moved forward through the field and, tiring near the end, outfinished SPIRIT QUEEN. The latter improved her position on the outside and closed with a rush. BEE GLAD tired. LEO D., hustled along from the start, went wide entering the stretch and tired near the end. PRETTY BUSY had no mishaps. NOT ASLEEP was done after a half mile. GAME was outrun. ELLEN BAKER, hustled along from the start, established a clear lead during the opening quarters, set a good pace, gave way when challenged and tired rapidly after reaching the final eighth. MANHUNT, in close quarters while being steadied along for five-eighths, came to the outside for the drive and finished well. SCUDDER, never far back, dropped back on the upper turn and came again when clear. SYMPATHIZER made up ground. LITIGATION was unable to keep up.
