Start good and slow. Won driving; third the same. QUEEN TEDDY, quickest in motion, gained a short lead early, met stout opposition from CAMOLA, saved a lot of ground and held on tenaciously under a vigorous drive nearing the end. ROYAL DOT was prominent in the early stages, moved up to reach the pacemaker at the stretch turn, finished strongly and was in a dead heat with QUEEN TEDDY. CRUMWOOD was hard ridden but could not reach the first two. WAGOLD was unable to threaten. PLAYING POLLY broke very slowly, then closed a good gap. KIN MAG was held safe. She pulled up lame. CAMOLA had a -lot of speed, but ran out badly on tho turn. ANN GROUCHER was displaced after reaching the back stretch, was kept under steady pressure, then rallied gamely in the last quarter mile to overhaul the tiling MADFOOT in the last sixteenth. MADFOOT was rushed hard to get to the front and tired badly in the stretch drive after moving into a clear lead. MARSHALL A. was prominent all the way. ASTER PRINCESS forced ART COOPER very wide on the first turn and was unable to threaten. ART COOPER had no chance after being forced wide. GRAY GLEAM tired after five-eighths. The others were outrun. GREEN WATER was kept abreast of the leaders early, rallied stoutly when shaken up, came around the leaders and drew out after moving into the lead. WHISK UP went wide going to the first turn, was rushed hard to engage the pacemaker, then could not stay with the winner when the real test came. ALLENE improved her position steadily. MISS FRED, away flatfooted, closed a big gap. JIMMY S. tired after going a half mile. SHORTS was never a factor. KENNER was done early. MORVIM, away in the first flight, moved into a short lead, was kept under severe urging and outstayed CONSISTENT under a hard drive. The latter was close up from the start, made strong bids before reaching the stretch turn, then tired in the final drive. GUINEA LAW raced forwardly while saving ground, but could not make up any ground. JUSTA JIMMIE was never dangerous. CROSSING OVER had no speed and raced in dull fashion. TIMETTA was steadied nicely, but failed to rally when placed to a drive. CALEB forced a good pace, but tired after going three-quarters. FIRST FLING was held safe.
