FAMOUS CLAYTON stalled off repeated bids from PEPPER PATCH and fought it out strongly. The latter made several efforts in the first five-eighths, then tired in the late stages. RED TRAP finished with good energy. MAMUCK could not menace. GOLD DOR quit. JANSTAR was badly messed about all the way.
