CARDIBRE, reserved off the pace, was steered to the outside for the stretch drive and, displaying strong energy m the final stages, wore down BLIND SAGE. The latter moved into command with a rush, continued strongly, but was not good enough. TRIP, never a great distance back, held on gamely in the drive BABUR had no mishaps. Pollard; bred by Idle Hour Stock Farm. Winner entered to be claimed for 00. WENT TO POST-5:3H. AT POST— 1 minute. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. BLOW AWAY, well handled, responded to strong pressure turning into the stretch, was steered between horses approaching the final eighth, took command inside the last sixteenth and withstood FIRE PRINCE. The latter, on the inside for five-eighths, was steered out for the stretch run and was going gamely at the end. OUR JUSTICE finished strongly with a belated rush. OPEN HEARTH responded to pressure, but was not good enough. CAPTAIN LOGAN and BLACK NOSE faltered in the last eighth. IMPEACH was used up in the early stages. TRIPLE PLAY and GEORGE were through entering the stretch. DUNCE, outrun, was not persevered with and was cased up.
