• ♦ — I PATTEN GYM TO BE RAZED Northwestern Universitys Patten Gymnasium, in existence since 1910, is to be torn down to make way for the new Technological Institute, which has been made possible through a gift of ,750,000 from the Walter P. Murphy Foundation. At first it was intended to move the huge building to a new location, but that plan has been abandoned and a new gymnasium will be constructed at the Southeast corner of Sheridan Road and Lincoln St. .
