. J. H. WHITNEY DENIES REPORT BELMONT PARK, N. Y., May 26— Heather Broom, three-year-old son of The Porter and Janet Blair, will not be shipped to California, owner John Hay Whitney stated today. "The report that I would send Heather • Broom to the coast is Avithout foundation," r Mr. Whitney said. "Heather Broom will re-! main in New York to fulfill his stake en-1 gagements and it is quite possible that he : will go to Chicago to run in the Arlington Classic." r Heather Broom, eligible for the rich Belmont Stakes, finished third to Johnstown and Challedon in the Kentucky Derby and ! more recently won a decisive victory in the l Equipoise Handicap at Belmont Park.
