COMMONWEALTH DRAWS NINE ,000 Added Stake at Suffolk — Ariel Toy, Winner of Arkansas Derby, Is Top Weight. BOSTON, Mass., May 26— Nine high grade three-year-old sprinters will battle it out over the six furlongs in the Commonwealth Handicap, ,000 added feature that is spotlighted on the gala program for the week-end at Suffolk Downs. With ideal weather conditions in prospect, a record crowd is expected to flock to the "turf by the surf" in New England to watch some of the foremost three-year-olds seen this season in action in the feature offering.
