SUNARGO, hustled from the start, was unable to menace the winner, but withstood PUMICE STONE. The latter, under occasional pressure in the early stages and strongly ridden through the stretch, could not reach the leader. BURR HICKMAN, racing forwardly from the start, finished gamely. BLACK MAN JR. tired. FALERMIAN had no mishaps. PLEASE DOCTOR, in close quarters soon after the start, was unable to reach the leaders when clear. The others were outrun. The latter slipped through on the inside approaching the far turn, opened a commanding lead in the stretch run, but could not withstand the winner.- MISS-WEBB, on the inside early, was steered to the outside for the stretch drive and closed resolutely. MISS DIAMOND bore out slightly rounding the far turn and was unable to reach the leaders when straightened out. BEAU THOR lacked early speed. GREENSKI had no mishaps. PREVARICATE, under good rating setting the pace responded gamely when challenged and held on gamely in the final stages. STOUT HEART lacked early speed ONA BOY had nothine left for the stretch run.
