INGLEW00D PREVIEW SUNDAY Star Horses to Parade for the Fans Entertainment During Afternoon. Quarter of a Million Dollars Expended in Improvements for Hollywood Park — Opening May 30. INGLE WO OD, Calif., May 26— Preceded by a gigantic "preview day" Sunday, which is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors, final preparations for the opening May 30 of the second summer turf season at Hollywood Park were today being rushed to completion. General manager J. F. Mackenzie plans to have the ,800,000 turf plant all ship-shape and ready to go for the preview. With more than a quarter of a million dollars spent on improvements at the track since its opening last year, the Inglewood racing plant will present an awe-inspiring sight to patrons during the forthcoming forty-four day meeting, and visitors to Sundays huge preview day will be afforded an opportunity to see everything free of charge. Gates will be opened at 8 a. m. Sunday, with uniformed attendants at their stations just as if it was a regular day during the meeting. SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS. For the benefit of the visitors many special features are being arranged. Big name horses will be going through their regular workouts in the morning and will take part in a special parade in the afternoon. Two-year-olds, which will be featured in races every day during the season, will be schooling at the barrier on preview day for the spectators enjoyment. Track announcer Joe Hernandez will be at the public address system microphone most of the day. Felix Mills and the Hollywood Park twenty-five piece band will give a concert from the bandstand located in the center field. Even Hollywood Parks famed Goose Girl will be on hand for the occasion and general manager Mackenzie promises all the flowers on the grounds will be in full bloom. i
