1 SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES | . A forfeiture of 0 has been placed against jockey E. Smith for failing to keep a straight course astride Abbots Lark during the stretch run of the second race Friday. Evening Shadow is the star of the Coldstream Stud, which is expected to unload at Suffolk Downs late Friday afternoon. The shipment is made up of fourteen head which will include Letton Vimonts Burgoo Miss. Jockey Lee Hardy checked in and he will have the leg up on Ariel Toy in the Commonwealth Handicap Saturday. Ariel Toy unloaded Thursday night from New York. Farrago and Jacodra will have blinkers added to their equipment in their next outings. The apprentice allowance was waived Friday per order of the stewards on Ellen H. in the third and Midshipman in the eighth race. Blinkers were added to the equipment of Long X. in the first race Friday while spurs were added to the equipment of Saving Grace in the fourth and Panther Creek in the fifth. Jockey Joey Renick, brother of "Singing Sammy," arrived Friday to ride Sassy Lady in the Commonwealth Handicap Saturday. The sensational three-year-old from the Snow White Stable galloped in Friday mornings training period. G-. L. Smith, lightweight jockey, has been signed by trainer Matt Smart for the balance of the New England season. Jockey Harry Krovitz has been engaged to ride Mrs. J. A. Nixs Woodsaw in the Toma-selo Memorial Handicap on Tuesday. The horse Two Cents was ordered withdrawn from the third race Friday by the stewards owing to the lack of proper identification.
