i DOUBLE FOR JOCKEY CASSITY Guides Hidden Haste and Brilliant Glow to Victory at Fairmount Park — Close Finishes. COLLINSVILLE, 111., May 26— Willie Cas-sity completed a double for the afternoon when he was astride Brilliant Glow, J. Goe-decke, Jr.s, racer, which accounted for the third event on the Fairmount Park Friday program of sport Cassity, young apprentice of promise, had previously guided Hidden Haste to victory in the opener on the card. Brilliant Glow was making his second start of the year when the five-year-old gelded son of Brilliant showed a characteristic burst of speed which carried him to the front in the final stages and enabled him to graduate from the maiden ranks with a half-length margin over Chicinger at the end. Lady Mayo finished another half-length away. The winner was made second choice in the wagering, Sun Hallie being installed favorite for the affair, but was unable to reach the leaders at any stage of the running. ! In spite of the continued warm weather j prevailing and the threat of showers that materialized during the running of the second race, a fair-sized crowd was in attendance for the afternoons sport, which was replete with brilliant and thrilling finishes.
