ARMSTRONG BEATS RODERICK LONDON, England, May 26.— Henry Armstrong, lightweight and welterweight champion, successfully defended the latter title last night, when he pounded out a fifteen-round decision over Ernie Roderick. Armstrong assumed the initiative in the second round and carried the fight the remaining fourteen rounds, pounding his opponent, who outweighed him more than ten pounds, all over the ring.
