1 AK-SAR-BEN TURF NOTES | s Bruce Broadfoot, who was to leave San Francisco last Monday, was delayed when one of his charges was stricken with a fever. However, Broadfoot plans to shove off for Ak-Sar-Ben the early part of next week. Jockey Robert Varner, a very capable rider, will accompany the Broadfoot stable here. Jockey Charlie Bianco and apprentice Marion Robinson were additions to the riding colony. Bianco is affiliated with the stable of E. Pullman, while Robinson, who is under contract to Hurst Philpot, is here under lease to W. A. Philpot. Joe Costanzo, who operates the Harvey camera at Ak-Sar-Ben, states the picture device is the last word in cameras and will register 750 views a minute. Its detail in displaying the finishes covers a rather small * fraction of an inch. This is the first season the new camera has been employed at the Omaha course. It was first introduced at Tropical Park last winter. Among those who registered their horses was H. T. Deahl, who brought in Hallucina-tor, Some One Else, Gamaliel and Olo Mor. Mr. Deahl does his own training and was given quarters in one of the larger barns,
