Start cood and slow. Won ridden out ; second and third easily. ENDYMION was in close quarters rounding the stretch turn, but slipped through on the inside when clear, responded in the stretch run and was under pressure through the final eighth. SALAMIS was on the outside of the leaders throughout, made a determined bid in the stretch run. but could not overhaul the winner at the end. SILVER TRACE showed a good effort from the start and had no mishaps. GANGPLANK was outrun the first part and closed with a rush through the stretch run. BELLRINGER showed early speed and then tired. AT POST— 2 minutes. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. KINGSEM, showing decided improvement over recent races, moved up fast on the inside after going a half mile, came around the leaders going to the fifth fence, moved into command and had speed in reserve at the end. CANIO jumped well and showed speed from the start, swerved toward the inside at the final fence and then came again. PLANTERS PUNCH was well up all the way and was slightlv impeded at the final fence. BUTTON BUTTON was under stout restraint the first part and outlasted TOUTMEPAL in the final drive. TOUTMEPAL had no mishaps in the running. JIMMIE CABANISS was rank in the running and bore out at the far turn. EMMAS PET was outrun from the start. Overweight — Emmas Pet, 3 pounds. LAST FRONTIER stepped through on the inside rounding the turn when the leaders bore out, responded to urging through the final eighth and outlasted DEVILS CRAG at the end. The latter saved ground all the way and held on well to the end. SOLATIUM, on the outside from the start, finished fast through the stretch run. WAYWARD KNIGHT raced greenly and ran in spots. SHIPMATE was carried wide rounding the turn. SETTLER showed a flash of early speed, but bore out at the turn. STROLLING ON. fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls. FAIRFLAX was sent up stoutly on the outside after the start, came between the leaders rounding the stretch turn and finished with good courage, wearing down BLACK BUN and drawing away at the end. BLACK BUN was sent into command at the start, showed speed throughout and then held on well. ARMOR BEARER improved his position steadily and then finished with good courage through the stretch. BOLD STROKE showed a good effort throughout and saved ground all the way. BERNABE showed a good effort from a slow beginning and finished stoutly. TORCHLIGHT had a flash of early speed, but could not keep up. MYTHICAL KING was under pressure in the early running and then faltered at the finish. GRANDEVER was outrun in the early stages, improved his position steadily rounding the stretch turn, fmiied fast through the stretch, but bumped MEMORY BOOK inside the eighth post and then drew away. MEMORY BOOK was rated along under steady restraint, improved his position when urged and was faltering slightly when impeded. ALUMINO saved ground entering the stretch and finished well. CLAP IN was sent up fast on the inside after the start and lad early speed, but then tired. BRIGHT NEWS was under steady restraint in the early stages, but ran out entering the stretch and was eased up through the final eighth. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. Mad Hatter, July 7, 1921—1:43—5—132. GEORGES BREAK was sent into command after the start, showed early speed, but then quit, JEST ONCE was well up from the start, but quit badly at the end.
