George Phillips, trainer for the Maemere Stable, arrived at Suffolk Downs. Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilts two-year-old bay colt, Skin Deep, arrived to be prepared for the Miles Standish Stakes on Saturday. A. Cooper sustained a fractured bone in his hand while exercising Darkmelus, one of Elmer Truemans charges at the local strip. The apprentice allowance was waived on Patchpocket and Prince Cloud in the eighth race Thursday. Changes in equipment to-- day were: Spurs on Hurry Ann in the second and Harvey G. O. in the third, and on Pharo Warrior in the fifth. R. A. Coward, who recently claimed Cur rants, has shipped that horse to Rockingham to be freshened up. Dr. C. A. Boutelle, track veterinarian, re-1 ports that he destroyed the plater Judges Verdict for trainer A. J. Bedell.
