DENEMARK Blind Eagle Bears Chicagoans Silks Triumphantly at Boston. Defeats E. R. Bradleys Bootless by One Length in Trowbridge Handicap — Friendly Paul Victor. BOSTON, Mass., June 22.— Finding ample racing room on the inside when making his bid through the closing five-sixteenths mile of the featured Trowbridge Handicap, Mrs. E. Denemarks Blind Eagle reached the end of the one-mile dash with a length to spare [ over Bootless, from the E. R. Bradley j string. D. A. Wood supplied the one to be third in Infidox. Proph was fourth, and Xavier led home To the Rescue to complete the field. Infidox had the most early speed and, after meeting early contention from Proph, drew clear midway down the far side of the [ track. To the Rescue was racing along in i third place, then followed the Denemark colt, and Bootless was in the rear. Boot-1 . less was on the outside in the run through the back stretch and moved to the pacemakers . steadily. Blind Eagle was going at ■ [ an even pace and saving all possible . ground. With only a quarter of a mile to go, it was still Infidox out in the lead, and Bootless had moved into second place and L well out from the , was holding to a position rail. Proph, although beginning to shorten I strides, was just showing slightly in ad- . vance of the ultimate winner. In the stretch it was still Infidox, although ! the Wood standard bearer drifted out a bit t from the inside, and Bootless was on the 5 outside of the leader. The opening was all i that Blind Eagle needed, drove through and 1 a furlong from the finish was right with the » leading pair, Blind Eagle was just showing the way a I sixteenth from the finish, but going along r with undiminished stride increased his lead | until the finish found him clear. Bootless 3 was still going along gamely and while able i to wear down the tiring Infidox it was only by the matter of a head that the Bradley j . performer accounted for second place. The 1 : others played little part in the stretch run and were well beaten by the leading trio. It was the second winning race of the cur- :j rent meeting for Blind Eagle, and the Black Toney colt ran the mile in 1:39. Ideal weather conditions prevailed and the ! crowd was up to the usual week-day at-| tendance.
