The division was headed by Grey Gold, a double winner at the north side track last summer. John Hertz, chairman of the executive committee of the Arlington Park Jockey Club, left on a business trip to New York, Wednesday. He will return to Chicago for the opening of the Arlington Park meeting Monday. Chicago turf and sports writers will attend the annual press luncheon at Arlington Park Sunday. Among the arrivals were seven A. G. Tarn horses, three racing for Mrs. A. M. Creech, in charge of L. V. Bellew, Jr. Special race trains will leave the Madison and Canal street station of the C. and N. W. for Arlington Park each racing day from 12:45 p. m, until 1:25 p. m. Extra trains will be run on July 4 and all Saturdays. Regular bus service also is maintained direct to the race track. J. E. Copenhaver, the western horseman, whose stable enjoyed more than ordinary success during the Lincoln Fields meeting, has reservations at Arlington Park. Apprentice Mike Caffarella will be here with the stable. Jake Lowenstein, who trains the horses of Morris Vehon, and those he owns himseif, is transferring fourteen head to the north side course. Vehons Smart Trick is a nominee for the Inaugural Handicap, next Monday. C. Hyde Smith is due here with the two horses he has at Lincoln Fields. They are Don Creole and Oddesa Knight. George S. Morris already has three horses here for the Illinois patron, Karl Mayer, and he will transfer seven more to Arlington Park, following the close at Lincoln Fields. Racing secretary R. S. Shelley again wishes to advise horsemen that entries for Mondays opening program will be accepted Saturday here at Arlington Park and also at Lincoln Fields and Washington Park. Among the jockeys now at Lincoln Fields who will be seen in colors here are Warren Yarberry, Carroll Bierman, Nunzio Pariso, Alfred Robertson, Charles Kurtsinger, Henry Hauer and Irving Anderson. The stable of Kirby Ramsey, embracing seventeen head, is moving over from Lincoln Fields in sections. Heading the establishment is the good handicap performer, Mucho Gusto. S. J. Molay will be represented here by Fire Advance, Inscomira and Move After.
