I LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES I _ A. D. Allen got away for Latonia with the horses Polante Seth, Chez Paree and Jim McConnell. Dr. J. M. Kaiser applied the firing irons to The Ranger, owned by Mrs. Robert Mc-Garvey. Another stable leaving here momentarily for Latonia is that trained by Frank Barton. He is shipping Captain Jinks, Calculator and Ted Husing, owned by his wife, and Smuggled In, the property of T. D. Holloway. Jockey Lloyd Sisler will accompany the stable and do its riding at the Covington track. U Demon was claimed Wednesday for ,000 by Mrs. L. H. Thompson. William H, Shelley, Harry B. Linden-berger and Cliff Huffnagel, who serve in official capacities at Latonia, will leave here for the Kentucky track Saturday night. L. Martin, turf patron, and M. Robertson, trainer, are here from Omaha in quest of racing material. They lost the horses they had at Omaha via the claiming process. Joe Grossman privately sold White Front to V. E. Berry. Mrs. William Owens, whose late husband was formerly in charge of jockey" rooms on Chicago tracks and who served as the color man at Suffolk Downs, wishes to thank those who sent flowers and condolences in her bereavement. Owens, who died a few days ago. was buried Wednesday at Mt. Vernon, Ind. J. L. Hedde plans to take Muscle In, Polly Feu and Doctor Tim to Latonia after the close at Lincoln Fields. The horses are owned by his wife.
