FRANCINE C, well ridden and steadied along while attempting to get throueh on the inside, came to the outside for room, took command shortly after entering the stretch and, responding to strong urging, held XPERT GIRL safe. Tbe latter, hustled along from the start and on the outside, swung wide entering the stretch, came fast when straight and, although unable to menace the winner, held on eamely. MAEBOB, shuffled back when in close quarters on the inside, improved his position when clear and closed strongly. RED HASTE showed an even effort. SHOTTY tired. NADEEN was done after a half mile.
