STRING MUSIC broke well, but . dropped back in the first quarter, worked his way up steadily thereafter and, responding to good urging, disposed of ALFADILDO, then drew clear. The latter raced, within striking distance of the leader to the final turn, came to the inside entering the stretch and closed determinedly under punishment, but could not withstand the winner. SHERLOCK, far back and outrun for a half mile, came between horses on the stretch turn, then finished with a rush. ROYAL ONE, in .tight quarters until reaching the stretch, came determinedly when clear. LAKE VIEW, much used forcing the early pace, had nothing left for the drive. LIBERCAISE was never a threat. DIEGO RED set the pace1 to the stretch, but could not hold his position thereafter. ERIN TORCH was done early. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. Myrtlewood, Sept. 5, 19361:10 9 A O 1 128. KENTY MISS, never far back, worked her way up steadily to the stretch, caine out slightly for the drive and, responding to punishment, wore down the leaders to draw clear. GALA GRIP raced in closest pursuit of HUTOKA throughout and outfinished the latter, but could not withstand the winner. HUTOKA went to the front before going a quarter and set the pace under pressure from GALA GRIP, but faltered in the closing eighth. COURT LASS saved ground when outrun for a half mile, then finished stoutly under punishment. CUREAGAL closed fast after beginning slowly. GOLD BEWITHUS lacked early speed. WISE WITCH was done after a half mile. EDASEL displayed good speed to the stretch, then retired. LONG LANE dropped back steadily-after the start. LIBERTY HALL began well, gave way to BYGONES approaching the final turn, but came again under brisk handling and disposed of the latter in the drive. BYGONES, a forward factor from the start, held a short lead when settled in the stretch and continued resolutely, but could not withstand the winner. JUST RAINEY raced evenly throughout under good handling and had no excuses. VALDINA NIECE was unable to better her position when hard urged in the drive. JUDSON, away poorly, was never a threat. The latter moved up fast on the outside to reach the lead, held a good advantage when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the winner. EUGENE raced evenly throughout without mishap and gave a good effort TOWER LASS, shuffled back on the final turn, was moving up stoutly in the stretch when caught I in close quarters and had to be taken up sharply.
