Sweepida May Return to Races Before End of Crete Meeting CRETE, 111., May 26. J. R. Upton who is training five horses at Lincoln Fields, reports that the good California-bred handicap horse, Sweepida, is training steadily and he may get to the post before the close of the local meeting. The Santa Anita Derby winner of 1940, who has not been to the post since last fall, was not made eligible for any of the Lincoln Fields stakes but Upton said he may be started in an overnight event before being transferred to Arlington Park. Sweepida is owned by Harry C. Hill, who also has Dutchill B., and Havana Lad in training here. Other horses Upton has in his charge are his wifes Certainty, and Fielding and Weils Birka Boy.
