MAY KEEN was hustled to the front soon after the start and, continuing under pressure, held on in the final drive to win narrowly. ROYAL VIEW was always in closest pursuit of the winner, closed strongly in the last sixteenth and was wearing down the winner at the end. LORENA SETH was very slow to settle into stride, closed a big gap after being steered to the outside rounding the final turn and was going gamely at the end. KALEIDISON closed some ground in the last quarter while racing between"horses. NAUGHTY SISTER raced evenly. KINGS PORTER tired after showing some early speed. DON BANQUET also tired. ANNA GRAND, slow to settle into stride, was steered to the outside entering the stretch and, under a drivejall through the final eighth, got up in the last stride to win narrowly. C. C. CURTISS, a forward factor from the start, closed strongly after reaching the final quarter, .but was unable to head the winner. TYRO LAD, always within striking distance of the pace, finished gamely in the final drive. COURTAWAY took command in the first fifty yards, set the pace to the last sixteenth, then tired slrghtly. DUE SPORT closed some ground in the final eighth. CHARLIE BRYANT, well up early, tired in the last quarter. WHISTLING BOY took command in the first few yards and set the pace to the last seventy yards, then tired when pressed. HIGHSCOPE, far back for a quarter, moved up strongly in the final eighth to get the show. THE PUMA raced evenly and was never able to threaten the leaders. BON FLY, well back for a half mile, moved up steadily while saving ground rounding the final turn, took command a sixteenth away and, under mild pressure, came on to win going away. JACODRA, very slow to settle into stride, was steered to the outside entering the far turn, moved up strongly after reaching the stretch and got up in the last few strides to outgame LITTLE TRAMP for the place. The latter showed in front by a short margin to midway of the stretch, then tired when challenged. MINE JOE raced evenly and was never a serious threat. MARCHING FEET in a contending position throughout, moved up steadily rounding the stretch turn while racing on the inside and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth to win by a narrow margin. BAR THIRTEEN, having good early speed, took command soon after the start and set the pace until midway of the final eighth, then tired slightly. BUCKET HEAD was well back in the first quarter, but closed strongly while racing between horses in the final quarter. SHIN PLASTER raced in spots. PAR AVION, never far from the pace, closed swiftly between horses after reaching the stretch, then responded to punishment in the last sixteenth to get the place in the last stride. O. K. MULLEN, always in a contending position, finished stoutly in the final drive. COUNT DOR trailed the field to the final eighth, then closed strongly. LADY PSYCHIC set the pace to the last eighth, then tired. MAIHIGH also displayed good early speed. HOOT OWL, far back in the early stages, closed strongly on the outside in the final eighth, but was not good enough. VOLADOR, having good early speed, forced the pace to he last sixteenth, then tired, but held on to save the show award. SKY BRUSH bore in at the start, causing several horses to take up, then took command and set the pace to the final eighth, but tired. BORDERS BOY showed speed to the final eighth, then gave way.
