ALDRIDGE, very sluggish early and raced wide throughout, rallied stoutly after reaching the last three-sixteenths and, wearing down HY-COP, was drawing out fast at the end.,, HY-COP began fastest, could not withstand -ANNIE ALONES challenge while saving ground on the turn, continued on the inside in the last eighth, but faltered and could not repel the winners challenge. ANNIE ALONE ran into the lead gradually and, on the outside, was under light pressure after a half mile, then tired in the last sixteenth. MY SHADOW closed well on the inside. O PLAY, allowed to drop back early, finished fast near the middle of the track. CERTAINTY had only mild speed, was lightly punished in the stretch and swerved when tiring.
