Won driving; second and tliird the same. SKY JACK, a forward factor from the start, stayed close to the pace to the final eighth, then, under pressure, moved up strongly and got up in the last few strides to win narrowly. PENCODE, never far from the leaders in the early stages, elosed swiftly after reaching the final sixteenth when he slipped through on the inside and would have won in an-otehr stride. BUV was hustled along soon after the start and took command after going the first seventy yards and set the pace to the last seventy yards, then tired slightly. GAYMAID GUEST showed good early speed, then tired. SETHS PEEL was never able to get up. KING EXCELSIOR showed some early speed. Scratched Katie R., 100. CIMARRON SAND, outrun for a half mile, was rushed up on the outside entering the stretch and, under arhard drive in the final sixteenth, got up in the last strida to win by a narrow margin. ROY GREENOCK, well up from the start? took command after going a quarter and set the pace to the last seventy yards, but could riot hold the winner. ROIDEF, always within striking distance of the leaders, raced strongly throughout while saving ground and finished gamely. DINAIN, well back early, closed some ground after going a half mile. PHALAMO showed in front for a quarter, then tired. TENTMATE also had some early speed. MASKED PLANE, having good-early speed, forced the pace to midway of the stretch, then, under a drive, closed strongly to win narrowly. LADY CONSTANCE was hustled into the lead soon alter the start, held the lead to the final sixteenth, then tired when put to a drive. DROOP, never farrora the leaders, closed gamely in the final drive. GQLD MESH, well back early, closed steadHy while racing between horses. FAIR CLOUD dropped well back after1 showing good early speed. PRINCESS NANE also displayed good early speed. The others were never serious contenders. HATTERAS LIGHT took command at once, set all his own pace and, under nild urgingin the last quarter, drew away to win by a wide margin. CLOCK VINDER, always In a contending position closed, strongly in the final eighth to outgame WINNAMLCCA for second place. The latter, very slow to settle into stride, closed much ground in frTe final eighth. AL S PRIDE, having good early speed, forced the pace to the stretch turn, then tired. TRANSLINE raced evenly. LOGICAL showed in front by a short margin after going a sixteenth and held on under punishment in thelast sixteenth to save second place from the gamely closing BAR THIRTEEN. The latter, well up early, took command rounding the stretch turn and finished gamely, although tiring. FLYING DOT came from far back in the final quarter. ROCK-HESIVE raced in spots.
