POLARIS saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leader to the stretch, responded readily when hard urged and, after disposing of the leaders, drew clear. PRAHS, much used engaging- LEADING ACTOR to the final eighth, failed to stay in the drive. LEADING ACTOR took command-soon after the start, set the pace for five--eighths, then faltered; ANAHUAC raced evenly throughout and had no mishaps. VALDINA GNOME finished fast after beginning slowly. J-AST BUBBLE, alertly handled, took command at once, shook off INSCOTA before reaching the stretch and then vvithstood-a brisk drive to hold PIPLAD safe. The latter, never far back, came out slightly on the final turn and, responding readily to good urging, was getting to the winner at the close. NANCYS BABY, slow to reach his best stride, worked way up steadily and closed determinedly under punishment. PANILUNA went evenly throughout and had no excuses. FRANK-G. could not better his position when hard urged in the final eighth. SORRY NOW came to the. inside approaching the stretch, made a good bid, but tired. INSCOTA, much used engaging the winner" in the first half, "had nothing left for the drive. K COOKIE was done early. JEZARA was always outfun. The latter, never far back, came out slightly on the final "urn and closed stoutly, but could not reach the winner. MILLCHIC, far back and outrun - through the first half, closed with a rush. JOTA, much used racing VALDINA ALDEN into defeat, failed to stay when Tiard urged in the drive. EMPRESS HILL was never dangerous. PROPER GAL came to the inside on the final turn, then faltered. CLARCAROLE, in tight quarters- from the start, tired after reaching contention in the stretch. MISSLAM was unable to keep up. BABY THERESE lackeaVf early speed.
