MIDALL, away fast, crossed to the inside after drawing, clear in the First eighth, was snugged rounding the turn ajid quickly increased His advantage in the stretch, but tired badly in the final eighth. MISTRESS STEP, away slowjy, started up on the stretch turn, continued with determination in the stretch- and was getting to the winner. NANNY, also away slowly, raced very wide throughout and showed a good effort. LISSA also finished fairly well. SINGING SATIN was held safe. BOLO ELLA had speed from the start, but faltered in. the final eighth. STAR; KAN also quit badly. Won handily; second and Third driving. .PAJAS, :always clear and raced wide to the stretch, took, command quickly as JOYRIDE faltered. but .had to be ridden out to hold BLACK HIGHBROW safe. The latter, a strong factor from the start, saved ground much of the race, came out for the drive and made a determined effort, but could not get up. CLOUDY WEATHER, also well up from the beginning, met. light interference in the back stretch and again soon after reaching the turn and, closing well, held the others safe. DONNAGINA had no. mishaps. TORCH GLEAM lost ground. KIEV SINGER swerved to the inside at the start and was away poorly. JOYRIDE quit badly and was eased near the end. FIVE FIFTY, taken back when blocked, had no chance thereafter. COMMIXION, well up from the start and lucky to squeeze through along the rail after reaching the turn, continued on the inside when disposing of MILLMORE and, opening up a good lead in the" stretch, had to be shaken up near the end. ALROSE, away slowly, missed the crowding, moved up steadily and closed resolutely. MILLMORE took command when leaving the back stretch, Continued to race wide as his rider kept him under restraint approaching the stretch, but did not rally to light pressure and gave way slightly near thcend. VALDINA BOSS could not improve his position under mild pressure. GOLD SUN was taken back after three-eighths. . .MAREOLD had a rough trip. SWING LEADER was eased back when blocked. SOUTH BOUND lacked room on the turn. DON AREZZO lost much groundy JUDY JONES was a contender when crowded back soon after reaching the turn. ALDRIDGE, very sluggish early and raced wide throughout, rallied stoutly after reaching the last three-sixteenths and, wearing down HY-COP, was drawing out fast at the end.j, HY-COP began fastest, could not withstand, vANNIE ALONES challenge while saving ground on the turn, continued on the inside in the last eighth, but faltered and could not repel the winners challenge. ANNIE ALONE ran into the lead gradually and, on the outside, was under light pressure after a half mile, then tired in the last sixteenth. MY SHADOW closed well on the inside. O PLAY", allowed to drop back early, finished fast near the middle of the track. The latter, away fastest, was allowed to open up a long lead, but did so without strong urging and had something left for the drive, but was not good-enough. CRYSTAL, in hand for a half mile, closed well and was getting to the leaders. AVACHANCE dropped vfar out of contention, raced very wide in the final five-sixteenths and, closing a gap in the stretch, showeda fine effort. ART OF WAR forced the pace under restraint, swerved while wearing down BLUE CADET, veered to the inside after drawing clear and was kept under urging to the end. GRAND CENTRAL, well up after the first three-eighths and saving much ground, was placed to a drive after seven-eighths and held on well to the end. BLUE CADET, taken under steady reserve after drawing clear in the first quarter, made a determined effort to withstand the winners challenge, was holding on well when lightly impeded nearing the final eighth and finished gamely when-clear, EVIL SPIRIT had no mishaps. HE MAN, allowed to drop but of .contention, raced wide and swerved repeatedly in the. stretch, where" he failed to make up ground. WILLIAM PALMER lost ground and offered no serious contention.
