Won driving; second and third the same. BOOTS SHORTY, quickest to begin but lacking speed to go along with BARIEL, was kept under occasional punishment and, responding gamely through the stretch, caught BARIEL tiring and was along in the last few strides. BARIEL went to the front in the opening strides, then drew away into command gradually, but began tiring in the last sixteenths and had little left with which to meet the bid of the winner. PRETTY IS, hard hustled from the start, continued with good energy in the final drive. COOEE moved up nearing the stretch and held on with splendid energy thereafter. PAILLE closed a big gap after being outrun early. VALDINA BANNER made up some ground, but was unable to reach the leaders. BUS GIRL was unable to enter serious contention. REKRAB was never a factor. ZACHARIAS, away alertly and never a great distance away, swung to the outside of the pacemaker when reaching the stretch and, taking command, had yiough in reserve to cope with the fast-closing PRAIRIE DOG. The latter, steadied along early, came resolutely in the closing drive and was gaining steadily at the end. SASSY MATE went into - - - command soon after the start, drew clear and, rated along under slight reserve, held on well to the close. KNIGHT CALL, reserved for the first three-eighths, was unable to reach tfie leaders during the stretch run. RISSA, prominent early, was unable to keep pace after going a half mile. VALDINA BISHOP made up some ground, but was never a threat to the leaders. PILOT BOAT faltered in the last five-sixteenths. VICTORY BOUND was unable to enter serious contention. LADYS COUNT, unable to keep pace early although never a great distance back, swung to the outside In the stretch, responded gamely to hard riding and was along in the concluding stride. HYEAD, quickest to begin, chased along in nearest pursuit of the pace when BIDDER moved to the front, gained command entering the stretch and, fighting it out stubbornly, jus,t failed to last. SUGAR DADY II. was a forward factor from the start and held on with good energy in the final drive. BIDDER showed good speed for a half mile, then tired under pressure in the closing test. GALAFLY, steadied along within striking distance of the pace, was unablelo threaten in the drive, NO DOUGH closed a good gap. VALDINA CAPTOR was unable to better his position under hard urging. BRITISH WARM, avoiding the early pace, was permitted to settle into, his stride without being hurried, began bettering his position after going three-eighths, responded gamely to hard riding through the stretch and wore down ALBATROSS to win going away. ALBATROSS, quickest to begin, opened up a good lead and, rated along under slight restraint, tired in the last eighth having little left with which to meet the bid of the winner. GRAU-STARK, steadied along early, made a menacing bid near the stretch and held on willingly to the end. CHARM BRACELET was unable to threaten the leaders. WAKE ROBIN closed some ground after being" outrun early. FIROZEPORE, on the outside, moved up affer going thrce-eighths but was unable to better his position thereafter. Scratched 23901 3Us, 112. GREAT RUSH, unable to reach the leaders early, bettered his position gradually after going a half, was brought to the outside in the stretch and, closing with a rush, took command to draw out in the last few strides. LONE SENTRY was never far from the pace, moved up on the inside, gained command briefly when ENDED began tiring and held on gamely in the stretch drive. AUREOLE, forwardly placed from the start, forged to the front after straightening out in the stretch, but was unable "to maintain her advantage under hard urging. CURIOUS ROMAN, in closest pursuit of the early pace, was unable to better his position through the stretch and was worked out an additional quarter. FANCY FREE was unable to reach the leaders. A. ALEGRE, well ridden, raced prominently from the start, was under occasional punishment to hold a forward position after losing command, then saved ground into the stretch and, under a rousing ride, was along in the last stride. OLDWICK, prominent from the start, drew clear straightening out in the stretch and, holding on gamely, just failed to last. PRINCIPAL ONE moved up gradually on the outside after leaving the back stretch, made a bold bid in the stretch and held on willingly to the end. LUSTROUS, reserved for a half mile, moved up gradually while under slight reserve, but was unable to make up any ground in the final drive. LOVE NOTE tired after going five-eighths. BETTY S BROOM had sped from the start, shook off CROWN GEM and fought it out willingly and only gave way in the final sixteenth. WIRE ME bettered her position steadily in the last three-eighths, saved ground in the stretch and closed gamely. BUSY MAN, taken back off the pace, moved up after rounding the . far turn, but was unable to threaten in the closing test. APROPOS was unable to better her position when placed under pressure.
