Jockey Sues Owner LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 28. In a 1 suit filed in Superior Court against John W. Marchbank, Herbert Simmons, 25-year-old jockey, decmands ,206 in fees allegedly due him for riding, the horses of the Tanforan race track owner. Simmons stated that Marchbank placed him under contract in 1931 and that thereafter he piloted more than 300 of Marchbanks horses on race courses of the Pacific Coast, and for which he should have been paid ,382 under the schedule of fees prevalent in racing in that jurisdiction. Simmons also claims he should have received an additional ,824 for riding for other stables, which paid their fees over to Marchbank. : 1 , .
