. j Three Dots and Fighting Don Vie In Sation Handicap at Arlington Carry 723 and 777 Pounds, Respectively; Good Blood, Five Others Also in Sprint ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, HI., June 24. While a good portion of the class horses on the grounds are resting for Wednesdays 0,000 Equipoise Mile, for three-year-olds and upward, and Saturdays double feature, the 5,000 added Skokie Handicap, exclusively for three-year-olds, and the 5,000 added Pollyanna Stakes, for juvenile fillies, tomorrows offering here is of the "off day" variety, but racing secretary Freddie Burton has lined up an attractive program, with the ,000 Sation Purse getting top billing. Carded at six furlongs, and with four-year-olds and upward competing, the Sation, which was named in honor of George D. Wideners great sprinter, will find a field of eight first class thoroughbreds contesting the issue. Clang Efforts Poor Those scheduled to race in the sprint are J. Howard Rouses Three Dots, Bobanet Stables Trojan Flee, E. Schwarzhaupts Pukka Gin and Bell-The-Cat, C. U. Yae-gers Calm Seas, Dee B. Stables Hydrant, Miss Gertrude Donovans Fighting Don, and Calumet Farms Good Blood. Despite his poor effort in the Clang Handicap last Wednesday, Three Dots probably will vie for favoritism with Fighting Don. Three Dots displayed fine early foot in the Clang, but he was caught in close quarters and when it was obvious that he stood no chance during the final stages of the race, he was eased up and just about walked across the finish line I Continued on Page Thirty -Four WARREN WRIGHT His homebred Boswell colt, Pep Well, extended his winning streak to five in capturing the Rose-ben Purse yesterday at Arlington. Pep Well Scores Fifth Straight at Arlington Runs Six Furlongs of Roseben in 1:11 to Handily Whip Little Nip Continued from Page One and one-lialf lengths in back of the leader, while W. Crumps Night Miss took the show. Flying Bimy, Take Away, Margaret and Wilt Thou were those being prepped for the stakes, but judging by what they displayed today they have little chance. Wilt Thou did manage to finish fourth after flashing a fair amount of early speed. Mrs. M. Campagnas Supreme Way found little opposition in the second as she coasted home six lengths ahead of the ordinary platers that faced her at six furlongs. Mrs. Emil Denemarks Limitation outgamed K. Witts Lookout Rascal in the battle for the place. The combination of Sweet Reward and Supreme Way returned 3.60 in the Daily Double. C. U. Yaegers old rogue, Parasang, repeated one of his favorite dodges in the fourth race. Favored over the field of 0,000 claimers, the nine-year-old broke well but pulled himself up soon after the start and refused to extend himself during the remainder of the journey. The winner turned up in the Brown Hotel Stables Dockie, a gelding who had not previously finished in the money this season. William Mikels Frisky Spirit took second over the Woolford Farms Leavenworth. J. I. and F. N. Naseworthys Happy, a two-time winner during the Lincoln-at-Haw-thorne meeting, was overlooked by form players in the fifth, but she showed, a clever performance in annexing the top end of the purse, beating Allen and Estrins Flight Gal by a length and a quarter with the Brolite Farms Mighty Lucky third. The winner had apprentice McKlemurry in the saddle.
