GALAMILK was sluggish early, improved her position on the inside and got up in the last strides to share in a dead-heat with WHITE WINE. The latter was sent into a commanding lead and showed speed, but drifted out in the final sixteenth while tiring. BUTCHIE responded when roused and closed well. CADET CARL was slow to begin, but made up ground steadily. HONOUR STUDENT, in near pursuit of the early pace, tired. ESCARP, on the inside, could not menace the leader. STAN TRACY was away poorly. GIGGLET improved her position when urged, but faltered at the finish. BEAUTIFIED showed early speed, then quit. CHALLE could not keep up. PRETTY DOES moved up fast on the outside and quit.
