i . ; . t Armed Pegged at 134 For Massachusetts Held Eight Pounds Over Stymie For Suffolks July 4 Feature SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 24. Calumet Farms Armed, that establishments successor to Whirlaway as its hope in the handicap division, has been asked to carry top weight of 134 pounds in the weight assignments of the 66 nominated for the 12th running of the 0,000 Massachusetts Handicap, feature event of the Fourth of July card, released today by racing secretary John P. Turner. Mrs. Ethel Jacobs Stymie, with 126 pounds, is the closest to the Calumet representative in the actual weight assignments, but there are others of equal interest. For instance, Mrs. Ed Mulrenans First Fiddle, winner of the mile and a furlong Suffolk Downs feature in 1944 and 1945, gets in with 123 pounds. Mrs. Ada L. Rices Sirde is next, with 121 pounds. The King Ranchs Assault, seventh winner of the American "Triple Crown," was assigned 120 pounds, as was Walter M. Jeffords Pavot. William L. Branns Gal-lorette, winner of Saturdays running of the Brooklyn Handicap, gets in with 119 pounds. Of the horses already on the grounds training for the feature event of the current Suffolk Downs meeting, A. F. Plocks Ellis gets in with 114 pounds; Mrs. C. P. Amodies Dinner Party and Metcalf and Ber-Mar Farms Spangled game, with 113 pounds each; W. E. Schlusemeyers Gabe Paul is asked to carry 110 and Longchamps Farms Apropiado, winner of the Bunker Hill Handicap, will carry 109 pounds.
