Hillyer Court Due at Suffolk Tomorrow for Massachusetts SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 24. Bernard Seroys Hillyer Court will be the first of the eligibles for the 0,000 Massachusetts Handicap, not already on the grounds, to be shipped in here for that event, according to word received by racing secretary John P. Turner this morning. The four-year-old smooth-gaited son of Ariel Latch Key is scheduled to arrive here on Wednesday to begin his final preparations for the mile and a furlong gallop which will headline the Fourth of July program at this course. Kenneth Force, former jockey and at one time the outrider at the New York tracks, is training the Seroy representative. While Hillyer Court has not received the national attention of some members of the handicap division, horsemen think well of him because of his high turn of speed and smooth action. Hillyer Court won only one race at two and none at three, but came into his own last winter at the Fair Grounds at New Orleans, when he developed into one of the hardest-hitting horses there. His most important victory there was scored in the New Orleans Handicap, a mile and a sixteenth event, when he carried 116 pounds to victory six lengths in advance of pique, King Dorsett and Letmenow, while negotiating the distance in 1:45 flat over a fast racing strip. The Seroy representative also won the Shreveport Handicap, the Thomas Edison Purse and the Lake Boyne Purse before shipping to Bowie, for the spring meeting at the Maryland track. There he won the Bayard Purse, a mile and 70 yards overnight event, but after that victory his best effort was in the Bowie Handicap when he finished third. 7 Green Apples 105 9 Dry Belt 112 8 In the Bag 118 Coupled: Green Apples and In the Bag.
