BRIEF SIGH went to the front after three-eighths, increased his advantage steadily thereafter and drew out to win with something left. MISS AMERICA, outrun to the stretch, came between horses during the drive and finished strongly under urging. PLAIDLOCH saved ground throughout, but could not better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. LT. BILL began fast and held on well to the stretch, then weakened. HAIL VICTORY, away alerly, could not keep up. DANADA FLASH raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. DISDOMO broke slowly. SO PROUDLY was outrun. HURI HOM HARI could not keep up. WIRE QUEST, slow to begin and saving ground, while improving his position to the stretch, slipped through on the inside of the leaders on the final turn and, after taking command, drew clear when ridden out. LATE THREAD, forwardly placed from the beginning, was on the outside for the drive and finished resolutely under urging. NOSTALGIA, much used engaging TIDEOVER to the final quarter, faltered when set down for the drive. TIDEOVER made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then weakened. BABY GOLD, outrun early, closed fast. JACALITOS on the outside from the start, could not threaten. MISS BOBOLINK was outrun. MAXIEKIN had early speed SPOON BREAD could not keep up.
