Lindor Wins Grand Steeplechase de Paris PARIS, France, June 24 Reuters Jean Sterns Lindor won the Grand Steeplechase De Paris over four miles and 110 yards at Auteuil yesterday. The race, stiffest steeplechase in France and second only to the British Grand National, opened the Grand" week at Auteuil, which will reach its peak on Sunday with the Grand Prix de Paris. Lindor, ridden by J. Geffroy, finished five lengths in front of Fortina, with Hahnhof, a nine-year-old, who won the race two years ago, a head further back in third place, as fifteen started. The favored Dryas, winner of the Spring Grand Steeplechase, took the lead at the start, only to fall at the first fence. His jockey, Robert Bates, remounted, mt could not challenge the leaders. j
