Forty-Seven Nominations Made For 0,000 Hollywood Derby Honeymoon, Lord Boswell t And Knockdown Eligible for July 13 Renewal of Stake HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 24. Future events leading up to the July 13 renewal of the 0,000 Hollywood Derby take on new meaning with the announcement today of nominations for that mid-summer run of a mile and a quarter for three-year-olds. A total of . 47 three-year-olds has been made eligible for the stake which this year will have its sixth running. Standing out prominently on the list of subscriptions are Louis B. Mayers Honeymoon, the current queen of the west and an outstanding candidate for the years thre-year-old filly championship; the Maine Chance Farms Knockdown, hero of the Santa Anita Derby, and his stablemate, Lord Boswell who is making a career of trying to catch the King Ranchs Assault. The ."Triple Crown" winner was not nominated for the Holly wood. race. Mayer and the Maine Chance Farm incidentally, were the most liberal subscribers to the Hollywood Derby, each having nominated four horses. Besides Honeymoon, Mayer entered Eiffel Tower, Widows Peak and Nepotism while the Maine Chance establishment submitted the names of Colony Boy and Perfect Bahram in addition to Knockdown and Lord Boswell. Honeymoon, who already has accounted for four Hollywood Stakes this season, will be out next month to emulate the feat of her illustrious stablemate Busher who carried the Mayer colors to victory in the same race last year. The Derby is run under allowance conditions. Top weight is 126 pounds. Non-winners this year of 0,000 will be allowed four pounds, a concession all the nominees except Knockdown can claim, while non-winners in 1946 for 5,000 are allowed eight pounds.
