WATCH SIR, slow to settle into stride, drove through when in a bit close in the stretch and wore down GLORIOUS MAXIM while on the inside. The latter wrested command early, drew clear nearing the stretch and just missed. CONSIDERED pressed the pace and held on extremely well. SAND PAPER raced within striking distance, but failed to respond in time. CRAIGS CREST tired after racing forwardly. SERVICE BADGE quit. COMMITMENT broke tardily and showed nothing. UNDERCUT moved into contention boldly along the backstretch, was eased back when in close quarters near the three-eighths pole, drove through along the inside to attain command and drew clear under pressure. PHARACK, outrun early, closed willingly when able to move through during the stretch run. OCEAN PLAY raced forwardly from the start and weakened only slightly. NEWTOWN" raced well placed from the start, but lacked a rally. Martens claim of foul against the winner was-not allowed. LITTLE NOBLE, outrun early, closed willingly while racing on his own courage. TATTOO was always prominent and continued on willingly. -AWARD failed to respond when roused. FLAG CAPTAIN lacked a rally. FULL FORCE attained a commandinq lead in the run along the backstretch, but quit to a walk. ALWHIRL outbroke his opposition, lacked speed "thereafter and drifted out. ■ SUB-CHASER was outrun. WHAT shook off LEONIDOFF on the turn to assume a commanding lead, was not seriously threatened and won cleverly. LEONIDOFF attempted to race with the leader and was unsuccessful, but was game to stave off the bid of MILITANT LADY. The latter raced forwardly throughout. TIPSTAFF raced on the outside and made up ground. SURPASS caught tired torses. NICK BLOOM quit. MARCHAN could not keep up. Overweight— Surpass, 2 pounds; Marchan, 2; Hobie B., 1. The latter saved ground during her rally, but could not wear down the top one. DIZZY WHIRL drew clear on the turn, but tired in the drive. FLUID DRIVE came from the last place to close full of run. WIDE MARGIN continued willingly. COCKOFTHEWALK tired after racing forwardly along the inside. FIBSTER quit badly when unable to gain command. FLAMING ACRES, flattened out after a half. BOOM BOOM saved ground while following the pace, wrested command from HAT CHECK GIRL after FIGHTING MAD had run out, then responded to mild urging to retain his advantage. FIGHTING MAD set the pace while under stcut restraint, commenced drifting out midway of the turn and went far beyond the center of the track entering the stretch. RADIATE II. lacked speed to reach the first flight early, saved ground and closed well. HAT CHECK GIRL was unable to stay with FIGHTING MAD early, attained a slight lead briefly when the pacemaker went out, then faltered. FINAL CURTAIN and WITHASTAR quit. BALANCED was nicely handled while retaining the rail on the run around the first turn, was under steadying restraint to the quarter pole, circled the leader boldly and drew clear without need of pressure. GINARGIE raced forwardly, attained the lead when ON THE RIVER faltered but was no match for the top one. DRY raced prominently but lacked a rally. BUCEPHALUS closed willingly but was beaten off by the top one. ON THE RIVER was hustled to the front, retained tHe advantage for about five furlongs and quit. NOMORWAR quit.
