W. improved position gradually on the outside, responded to steady pressure in the late stages and was up to outfinish SEA BEES. The latter assumed a short command making the final turn, continued on gamely, but was unable to shake off the opposition. FLEETY QUEEN was under urging to stay with the leaders, moved to the inside in the stretch pnd held on gamely. WELL BORN broke smartly, was taken back and placed under restraint along the inside, rallied mildly when roused, but was not good enough. RED ROB passed tiring horses. DRAGERTON lacked early speed. FOXY SCOT had no mishap. FREEDOM RING quit. MISS RUSSELL had speed for a half. MANADRU broke well, dropped back and showed nothing thereafter. ACKLEY, well placed under light restraint, moved into command when ready, drew clear and won as rider pleased. NIGHT BOMBER improved position along the inside, was steered to the outside for the drive and closed willingly. FOUR THIRTY came from far off the pace with a belated rush. CLAREMONT MISS assumed command at once and set the pace for a half mile, then shortened stride. JURY RIG weakened after staying with the pace for five furlongs. HOWDY ROWDY had no mishap. CATHIE JEAN raced wide most of the way. LALLYHOO showed nothing. NEAT KEE flashed brief speed. JUAN was unable to keep up. PEBBLES HABIT was outrun. LONGEINE assumed command soon after the start, drew clear after a quarter and maintained her advantage under a smooth hand ride. TOP FOOT, quickest to begin, dropped back, was steadied within striking distance of the pace, rallied mildly when roused, but was not good enough. QUELLE BELLE lost much ground while bettering position. SENATOR C. ranged up on the outside of the leader making the final turn, then flattened out. BRASSY LIE flashed brief early speed. CINDER FOOT lacked early speed. BUSTER HOPE had no mishap. JOANS ROBIN was never prominent. WISE BRUNETTE retired steadily after showing brief speed. FANTOM VENTURE WAS VERY SORE IN THE POST PARADE AND WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED, ALL MONEY WAGERED ON FANTOM VENTURE BEING REFUNDED. GLORY opened a clear lead at once, saved ground until overtaken, then drifted out under pressure. FUGLERS, steadied along the inside for five furlongs, rallied mildly when roused. SCHOLARSHIP took command at once, * was forced to set a rapid pace, came out slightlyon the final turn and was under steady urging to hold TIME 5 ROLL safe. The latter, steadied when unable to secure racing room along the inside, came through on the inside „ making the final turn, edged close to the leader and finished with good courage. SHAFFIE, under pressure to e challenge the leader while racing on the outside, tired nearing the end. MINT OMORN was well placed 2 throughout and had no mishap. SUPPER DATE showed nothing. JOE OLSAN was never a serious factor, n THEODORE broke slowly and failed to reach contention. QUESTUARY was unable to keep up. FIRST SENTRY assumed command before a quarter, increased margin on the far turn, saved ground and was not in danger. WEATHERCOCK, outrun and kept clear of fallen horses, closed resolutely through the stretch. ROMANETTE forced the pace, raced slightly wide on the far turn and held on gamely. ZO-BO, well up along the inside,, had no mishap. BOXIE was unable to keep up. INSTANTER was never prominent. GAY DATE was moving between horses entering the stretch when she ran up on horses heels and fell. LUCKY INCIDENT was moving when caught by a fallen horse and went down. PINK TIGHTS rallied mildly nearing the end. SKY CHILLA, early leader, held on well after losing command, then tired in final sixteenth. BATTLE CLAMP raced wide throughout in a dull effort.
