PETROSE GIRL held on tenaciously in a game effort but was not good enough. KINDLY MISS closed a gap but rallied too late to become a serious factor. CATNIP HILL had no *• excuse. R0YTIG raced wide throughout and was forced to take the overland route when making his stretch bid. S KNIGHTS HILL broke tardily and showed nothing thereafter. NICKEY W. moved up with a rush on the outside and was straightened for the drive, but could not seriously endanger the winner when hard ridden through the late stages. ROI ROUGE raced within striking distance of the leaders, but lacked a closing rally. YOUR REWARD was always outrun. SOUTHERN PRIDE quit. QUEEN HAIRAN gave a iistless performance. SPEEDY BABY was hustled along from the beginning, showed good speed while making the pace to the stretch and withstood MISS DEDUCTIVE in a long drive. The latter came out for the drive and, under good handling, was steadily getting to the winner. TIMBOO, outrun early, closed a gap, but could not reach the top ones. BONNYVALE failed to make up appreciable ground when set down for the stretch run. TRUETT had no mishap. GAY HENRIETTA, fractious at the post, could not keep up during the running.
