Wirra on Royal Oak Scene FAm GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 17.— Thomas pevereux arrived at the Woodward Avenue course this morning with the three-year-old filly, Wirra, a nominee for Saturdays 0,000 added Royal Oak Stakes. Wirra, a homebred daughter of Equifox and Gayee, has started but four times and she has visited the winners circle on two occasions. Wirra finished fifth in the Kentucky Oaks behind Wistful, The Fat Lady and Lady Dorimar and she was sixth in the Ashland Stakes after she had fashioned the pace during the early part of that filly fixture. Started but one as a two-year-old, Wirra graduated at the first asking and she also accounted for an overnight event at Keeneland this I spring, beating such company as Pnut Vendor, Montes Pride and Mr. Tuck, among others.
