Candidates for Joliet Seen in Useful Trials Sigh Man, Go Jeep Go, Iyy Boy Never Stop Drill at Homewood WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., May 17. — While the track was damp here for yesterdays opening card of the Lincoln Fields meeting, the strip was not damaged to any extent and this morning it was dry for training hours. Some of the trainers who have charges in this week-ends feature, the 0,000 Joliet Stakes, put their nominees through trial moves over the fast track. Among the juveniles named for the Joliet who received more serious prepping this morning was River Divide Farms Sigh Man. This son of Brief Sigh was asked to go five furlongs by his trainer Rollie T. Shepp. Sigh Man broke from the stall gate and negotiated the five panels in 1:01%, going handily throughout the trial. Several others were sent the same distance but their preps were less impressive because they began the five panels in full stride. Go Jeep Go, owned by Brown Hotel Stable, was caught in 1:00% in handy fashion; Ivy Boy, belonging to Mrs. M. Ivy, toured five furlongs in 1:01% and was not fully extended for the trial, and John Marschs Never Stop reeled off the same distance in 1:03%. Alsabs Day, property of Mrs. Albert Sa-bath, turned in one of the better workouts this morning among the more seasoned campaigners. This daughter of Alsab was clocked seven furlongs in 1 :27 flat after breaking from the stall gate. Her time for the half was :48, and for six furlongs 1:13 flat. Alsabs Day received her final trial at this track for her engagement in the Royal Oak, Saturdays featuf e at the Detroit Fair Grounds, where she will be sent from here on Thursday.
