Michigan Mile Attracts Twenty-Four Nominees Pellicle, Frere Jacques, Piet And Sir Sprite Among Eligibles FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 17. — The ,500 Michigan Mile, first of several turf course stakes scheduled for decision during the current 80-day local meeting, closed for entries on May 14 with a total of 24 nominations. The allowance stake will be run here on Wednesday, May 25, and such outstanding grass-track performers as Hal Price Headleys Pellicle, Jacob Shers Frere Jacques, O. F. Woodwards Sir Sprite, Peter A.
