MISS CLARA went up between horses to be closest to the pace, took command on the outside and won fully extended. GOLD CALL was froced to lose considerable ground while moving up on the turn and closed willingly. DIESEL SAND was well placed from the break and had no excuse. SAX BEE gave way after making the pace for a half. POPPA GEORGE was knocked back a furlong after the start and impeded again nearing the turn. LIBERATE tired. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. PLAY EDA, a sharp factor on the outside, moved up readily when shaken up, displaced GOLD PROXY and lasted over WAR PAGE. The latter dropped back on the inside in the early stages, went up on the rail for the drive and was getting to the winner. R. L. LIGHT worked his way up between horses and closed resolutely. GOLD PROXY gained the lead when ATOMIC ENERGY quit, then gave way in the drive. DUKE E. bore in and was blocked midway of the drive. PAPER CLIP was-outrun. ATOMIC ENERGY quit after showing brief speed. ALBULIL moved up to challenge for the lead nearing the turn and quit. RHODYS GAL raced wide all the way. TOOTSIE McCABE went up steadily on the outside to reach the lead, then was hard put in the final furlong to hold her advantage over KING ALLA. The latter saved ground while well placed, showed a good effort, but was not good enough. MUCH PLEASURE caught tired horses. BIRD SHOT had no excuse. DOUBLE MOOSE was outrun. HITHERTO, slow to begin, moved up on the rail on the backstretch and turn, swung out coming out of the turn then drifted out midway of the drive while holding a slight lead and outfinished ALL FOR FREE. The latter was well placed on the outside, was carried out slightly midway for the drive and just missed. MARSE GEORGE worked his way up on the inside and closed well. MISSAB dropped back between horses on the turn then went by tired horses. JACKS REQUEST tired after racing forwardlv until the final furlonq. TEAMMATE had early SDeed and oave way. LEAS ROSE quit. FROST BITTEN, allowed to drop back early, went up on the outside when called upon and wore down the leaders in the final stages. BREZNO made the pace under restraint and was rated after being headed, took command and drew clear when put to pressure in the stretch but was not good enough. FLASHER dropped back slightly while allowed to settle into stride, moved up quickly when shaken up and showed a good effort. MY STAR forced the pace under hard restraint on the outside, took the lead and drew clear, then crossed in sharply and held IN FRAGANTI safe under punishment. The latter, never far back, swung wide coming out of the far turn, moved up gamely in the stretch and faltered. SAMMIES IMAGE saved ground and had no excuse. BORN TO WIN, blocked momentarily going into the far turn, went through on the rail to be on even terms for the lead and gave way. SCOTLAND YARD failed to respond. The latter, allowed to settle into stride early, moved up on the outside, disposed of OFFENBACH and took a clear lead between calls in the closing furlong and just missed. The latter «gained the lead when RAY OSULLIVAN weakened and tired in the final furlong. FRIENDLY DON finished well after a slow beginning. STEEL CHAIN raced wide all the way.
