BRIGHT STEEL began fast, made the pace until near the stretch, but could not hold the winner while easily besting the others BLUE BADGE could not better his position when set down for the stretch run, CRACK REWARD could not keep up. LUCKY JOSEY could not better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. COY COUNTESS, taken up Vl..itl s-UFfKI after the break, made up ground when clear, but could not threaten the leaders.
