JEEP SUPPLY, slow to setle into best stride, improved position gradually along the inside, was taken to the outside in the stretch assumed command and drew out. GLOAM opened a clear lead at once, was placed under strong restraint down the back-strech, opened a long lead when roused, but was not good enough. RAY OSULLIVAN moved close to the pace along the inside, continued to press entering the stretch, then tired. SWELL GUY finished well SAFE BET passed tiring horses. SASON weakened.
