WHITE HAWK, in hand while settling in stride, saved ground on the turns, came to the outside of the leaders to wrest command in the stretch run, then had to be strongly handled while attempting to lug in. LITTLE VIV saved ground and was under pressure while setting the pace, drew clear in the early stretch, but willingly gave way to the winner. VINELAND was a keen factor throughout, but weakened near the end as if short for the effort INDELIBJLY was well placed behind the leaders, but lacked a rally. LADY PAM was outrun. JERICHO broke out badly-on the turns. SURE COUNT dwelt at the gate and began far behind the field, then made up ground . late. DOMINICAN quit badly after a half mile. LUNATION began well and quickly wrested command when urged entering the far turn, then steadily increased his advantage under light pressure -and won easily. LITTLE COLLEEN, slowest away from the gate, saved ground while improving position and finished determinedly under punishment PROMISING gradually dropped back while racing on the inside -of horses, was taken to the extreme outside in the early stretch, then closed well under punishment at the end. TREAT was unable to outsprint the winner after a quarter mile and steadily weakened. AVID, hard punished to reach contention after a sluggish start, tired and drifted wide in the drive. SOSPIRO, running in best fashion, was blocked momentarily on the final turn, then was closing fast when forced to take up between horses entering the last sixteenth and was up in the last strides. JOLIRAB was hustled*along close" to the pace, opened a clear lead in the drive and just failed to last GERTIES LAST began fast and was a keen factor while continuing gamely to the end. CURRENT NEWS, never far back, came to the outside for the drive and finished well FAIR MARK was forced to come very wide for the drive and hung near the end. TINK was urged to the front early, but quit DAVID N. was fractious at the gate and showed nothing. LIBRAB quit. DASH FOR CASH was outrun. TROJAN WAR saved ground from his Inside post position, was subjected to a long drive to wear down DIVIDEND PAYER and reached the front only ki the final yards. DIVIDEND PAYER easily established a long lead, drifted very wide entering the stretch, then tired and bore to the inside. WANT A BEAU came from far back and finished well to best tiring horses. ENERGETIC was nicely rated with the pacej was smoothly urged into command at the half mile, gradually drew clear, then lasted under strong handling to best GOLDEN BULL. The latter, sluggish and trailing for. a half mile despite steady pressure, was forced to swing extremely wide in the last stages and was rapidly getting to the winner. DIRECTOIRE was closer to the pace than usual under brisk handling, appeared dangerous through the drive, but hung. KING CHICO .saved ground while showing speed and held on well after being displaced.
