TECHNICOLOR broke forwardly and, racing close to the early leaders, came to the outside of POIGNANCY in the stretch to head the latter near the end, despite being forced a trifle wide, and won in a drive. POIGNANCY raced up to challenge ROSILY for the leadership on the backstretch, then drew out slightly nearing the last turn, but showed an inclination to bear out in the final sixteenth and was unable to resist the winer.
