Plymouth Rock Handicap Brings Out Field of Ten All At Once and Algasir Clash In Suffolk Downs Feature Race By AVERY BROWN Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 18. — The thirteenth running of the Plymouth Rock Handicap, which carries a ,000 added prize, looms as a renewal of the Governors Handicap which thrilled the Suffolk Downs patrons two weeks ago. In that six-furlong test, eight of the nine contestants finished two and a half lengths apart and of that group, only De Luxe, who finished fourth is missing from tomorrows line-up. The Plymouth Rock has lured 10 top sprinters. J. W. Nizleks All At Once, assigned the top impost of 120 pounds. H. A. Kimballs Algasir is next in line with 119, six more pounds than has been alloted to Mrs. J. W. Kelleys Sedgeview. G. S. Glad-neys Bernie Mose and Bar-Sue Stables Scipio are bracketed at 110, two more pounds than Murray Hill Farms Heres Hube must carry. Carling and Simms Dukes Gal and J. E. Hughes Vital Sun are slated to tote 107, A. A. Gaiges Peace Mission, 106; River Divide Farms Mr. Joe Puck is the lightweight of the field with 105 pounds. Algasir, who won the Governors by a head, picks up two pounds for the Plymouth Rock and All At Once, the runner-up in their last meeting, will carry the same weight he had two weeks ago. Dukes Gal is the recipient of a one pound shift in her favor and Sedgeview, Scipio, Mr. Joe Puck and Vital Sun each receive a two-pound shift in the weights they carried while finishing in the order named against Algasir. The Kimball gelding, who has already established himself as a bargain for his present owner, will be seeking his fifth victory of the year, with jockey Willie Turnbull attempting to duplicate his guidance in the Governors Handicap. Sedgeview, the favorite in the last meeting of the above group, had to overcome early sluggishness to get within a length and a half of the winner while finishing fifth. A more alert start should find him a capable opponent through the stretch duel that appears certain in the Plymouth Rock. Billie Fisk, his regular pilot, will again be in the irons. Dukes Gal was beaten only a length in her engagement against Algasir and since has started once against the fleet Auntie. Her margin of defeat was also a length behind the Barrett mare, but was significant because of the fact that the daughter of Gallant Duke came back to show such a good effort and attest to her fitness. All At Once should benefit from his outside post position in the Plymouth Rock. The Grand Slam colt has been heavily campaigned this year and, although a stout threat in a race of this type, he did not look like his usual self in last Saturdays Commonwealth Handicap. Chuck Corolla, who has been doing the heavy riding for Nizlek will again be up on All At Once.
